A Cold Waking

The sound of my hibernation pod opening woke me. Earlier than scheduled. The module was dead quiet. All five of my crewmates' pods stood empty, thick frost furred across their insides. As though they had been empty for a very long time. The main console wants authentication. In one corner of the screen the final entry of the mission log is blinking. My fingers are stiff and the keys will barely take a press. Looking at the date on that log, I knew something had gone very wrong.
