Server B is the backup on the ground floor of the northern data centre. Server C is the core server in the laboratory on basement level 5. If even one survives, Project X wakes again. The team split. Ghost and Byte to headquarters, Spark alone to the data centre, Neon and I down into the laboratory. Nobody made a joke. "I built the launch code," Byte said, putting a line up on the screen. "The three floors, our head count, our departure hour. Numbers only the five of us know." Ghost read it back without making a sound, mouthing the words.
